PoleJunkies Policies

PoleJunkies appreciates your business and we want to continue to offer the highest quality and variety of classes at our boutique fitness studio.  Please read the policies below that help us maintain these high standards and allow us to offer you the flexibility that your need.

Class Registration & Class Attendance

Pre-registration on our Classes Calendars is required for any & all classes you wish to attend. Clients who pre-register are given priority on attendance.  Our classes have limited space and walk-in clients are not guaranteed admittance to class. Classes with two (2) or less clients registered 3 hours prior to class time are subject to cancellation at management’s discretion. We remind you to please register in advance to assist us with managing our convenient schedule and class sizes!

First-time Pole or Aerial students MUST first attend a Beginner Class in their designation and will not be admitted to any other level class until this is completed.  To advance within our pole dance level curriculum, attendance in a minimum of twelve (12) classes of your current level is required.  To advance within our aerial level curriculum, attendance in a minimum of eight (8) classes of your current level is required.  Attendance in progressive classes are monitored for safety & liability reasons. Regularly taking one class per week (if not more) will help you progress faster than taking classes infrequently.  With any fitness regime, if you want the result…you need to put in the effort!  Pole and Aerial students with prior experience, who are visiting PoleJunkies for the first-time, should contact us at calgary@polejunkies.com for a free assessment to find their appropriate level placement.

Refund & Makeup Policy

All sales are final.  No Refunds will be granted or provided. No Exceptions other than listed below.

In the event you are unable to make your class, you are required to notify the office prior to midnight before your scheduled class start time.

It is the student’s responsibility to be aware of the expiration date of class passes. This information is provided to you in your Class Code Email after purchase.

Exception: If a medical condition or injury prevents you from attending classes, including COVID-19 Symptoms, please notify us immediately.  We will offer a Gift Certificate based on a doctor’s note outlining why the injury/condition affects your participation. The Gift Certificate will be provided, identifying the classes or months left in the pass or term, once we are informed of the condition via a doctor’s note.

Pregnancy: PoleJunkies does not allow pregnant women, at any stage, to enter/begin participation in pole or aerial classes.  If you become pregnant during your session or membership, continued participation in pole/aerial activities maybe granted with a doctor’s note for modified activities, otherwise, we will provide you with a Gift Certificate for your remaining classes or months left in the pass or term.

Late Cancel/No-Show Policy

Midnight before the scheduled class.  Simply unregister from the class on your registration history in your account.  IF deadline for cancellation has passed you must contact the office sy 403-479-7653 immediately. Membership and Class Pass credits will then be placed back onto your account for future use.  All cancellations received AFTER Midnight before the scheduled class will be considered a “late cancel”. Clients who register for a class but do not attend will be considered a “no show“.

For both “Late cancel” and “no show” events, the following will occur:

For Single Class:  Class & Class Fee is lost.

For Class Pass:  You will have a class credit removed from your current class pass.
Thank you in advance for your understanding of our policies, as this allows us to continue to offer you the highest quality classes at incredibly affordable prices!
Exceptions to these policies may be made at the discretion of the management only
PoleJunkies reserves the right to cancel a class due to low registration, inclement weather, instructor illness, or any other reason.  If PoleJunkies cancels a class and you have pre-registered and pre-paid for that class, your credit will revert to your account.  In the event of PoleJunkies cancelling a class near the end of your pass expiry date, extensions to the expiry date may be made at management’s discretion.  Inquire with studio management in these cases.

Class Pass Expiry

As noted on our Class Pass Details, our Class Passes for both Pole and Aerial expire either 2 months (60 days) or 4 months (120 days) after date of sale, depending on type of class pass purchased.  To help with any extenuating circumstances, a one (1) month expiration date extension may be granted on a case-by-case basis.  If granted, the following charges will apply:

$5+GST/class up to a maximum of 5 classes (total of $25 +GST) for a one time ONE MONTH extension only.

It is the student’s responsibility to be aware of the expiration date of class passes and memberships. Extension fees are waived if extension is required by PoleJunkies cancellation rather than the student.

Gift Certificates

Gift Certificates are available for purchase on our Membership, Passes & Gifts Page.
One purchase per person for personal use, you can purchase more as gifts. Gift Certificates are issued as a Voucher Code which is used in the Coupon Code box at time of registration.  Gift Certificates cannot be used in conjunction with other discount codes.

Class Conduct

Safety and comfort are of utmost priority at PoleJunkies. Clients are expected to be respectful and attentive in classes.  Activities are to be limited to those directed by your instructor.  Students who attempt movements outside those being taught in class may be asked to leave class with no refunds.  At times, your instructor may prohibit a new technique… please understand this decision is for safety and liability purposes including, but not limited to: safety in spotting, physical capabilities, safe progression, body safety. Students are not permitted to provide instruction or spotting to other students in class.  If at any time you feel uncomfortable in class, for any reason, please let your instructor know immediately or contact management after class by email or phone.

Privacy

We ask that cell phones not be used and placed on silent during your time in the studio to avoid disruptions. While we know you are excited to see your friends in class, please keep conversations prior, during and after class to a minimum. Loud conversations are disruptive to classes and classmates and may cause you to miss important instruction or movement cues.

Video and photos are not permitted during class times, unless acquired by PoleJunkies. After class is completed, if there is time prior to the next class, your instructor may allow you to take photos or videos if you wish. You must insure you are the only person in the frame shot or video footage.

Attire and Footwear

Our beginner classes simply require comfortable yoga pants & a t-shirt. Minimum attire for classes is shorts and sports bra. All intimate body parts must be covered at all times. As students continue into higher pole levels, they should expect to wear the appropriate attire for safe execution of more difficult pole skills. No Gstring’s, Thongs or Bikini’s are permitted in class.  Students wearing inappropriate attire may be asked to leave class with no refunds given.  Pole Dance shoes are welcome in Exotic and Stiletto Classes – please NO street shoes! Feel free to reach out to your instructor or email us for recommendations on appropriate attire or shoes for individual classes. Shoes should be free of buckles, straps and anything that may potentially damage our equipment.

Party/Event Bookings and Deposits

To reserve your preferred date and time for a private party/event, we require a deposit at time of reservation.  The deposit covers 6 participants.  The deposit will be applied against the total cost of the party/event and if there are additional attendants, they pay the balance on the day of the event. The deposit is non-refundable; however, you can reschedule your party to another date within 30 days of your event date up to 30 days prior to your event date, or 50% the deposit can be applied as a credit towards future classes/services in the studio. We will always attempt to accommodate rescheduling the time of your party within the same day, depending on availability, with no penalty.  Exceptions to this policy may be made due to extenuating circumstances at the sole discretion of the studio management.

Inclement Weather Policy

At any time, the studio may choose to cancel classes in the case of inclement weather/dangerous travel conditions, for the safety of both staff and students.  Should the weather forecast be calling for potentially hazardous road conditions, the studio will send out an e-mail and post on Facebook as early as possible to alert students to the possibility of a cancellation.  Once alerted, we will endeavor to make the call and communicate cancellations a minimum of 3 hours before the posted start time of the class.  If the studio cancels classes due to weather, all registrations will be cancelled, and credits will be issued or returned to the students’ accounts.  Should the studio choose to run classes, but a student opts not to travel at their own discretion, the student should notify the studio and the studio management may chose to issue a credit for the student’s registration, at their discretion.  No refunds will be provided for class cancellations due to inclement weather.  For Workshops and Parties, exceptions to the no-refund policy may be made at the discretion of management, subject to administration fees.
These policies supersede any previously posted policies and any previously dated policies on written or online documents.  Theses policies may be changed at any time at the discretion of PoleJunkies management.
